The use of digital image processing techniques in the field of architectural production has become ubiquitous. Today digital Imaging technology allows the creation of images that are visibly no different than a photograph.
So, what other visual strategies and aesthetics can be incorporated with the help of digital image techniques – image strategies, that do not necessarily follow the most exact implementation of photographic representation?
Various image processing techniques will be presented. Individual image approaches, visual language and compositional strategies from the field of architecture, fashion and fine art photography will be identified. Students will finally develop a consistent series of image collages.
Through the mediation of various digital image-processing techniques and on the basis of the knowledge acquired in the lecture course and preliminary practice, the students will develop an expanded vocabulary in terms of visual approaches. The goal is to explore the possibilities and potential afforded by digital image techniques.
